2025 Vintage Wines: What to Expect?
The 2025 vintage will be remembered as an excellent year for Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil wines.
After an early start to the season and promising maturation indications from summer, the harvest confirmed the good condition of the grapes. In Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, the year's conditions allowed for wines with balance, color, and a beautiful expression of fruit.
A vintage marked by early ripening
As early as July 2025, we observed an early onset of veraison in our vineyards. This important stage marks the beginning of grape maturation and foreshadowed a particularly interesting year.
The rest of the season allowed the grapes to reach maturity in good conditions. Cabernet Franc, the emblematic grape variety of the appellation, was thus able to fully express its character.
What can we expect from the 2025 vintage wines?
The first feedback on the vintage is encouraging: balanced, fruity, and expressive wines, with a beautiful freshness characteristic of Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil.
As always, each cuvée will express the vintage differently depending on its terroir and aging process. We will therefore have to wait to discover the full personality of the 2025 wines.
