Hachette Wine Guide 2027: Our 2 Award-Winning Vintages
After the 3 stars awarded to Cuvée 12 Arpents 2023 in the Hachette Wine Guide 2026, Domaine de la Chopinière du Roy continues its successful journey with two new Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil wine vintages distinguished in the 2027 edition: Cuvée Coquelicot 2024 and Cuvée Sous la Robe 2023.
Two vintages that each illustrate in their own way the richness of Cabernet Franc and the expertise of our family estate, passed down through 9 generations.

🍇 Cuvée Coquelicot 2024
From old Cabernet Franc vines, some of which are almost 100 years old, Cuvée Coquelicot is cultivated on gravel-silt soils. This vintage was awarded a star by the Hachette Wine Guide 2027!
Its short aging in oak barrels brings complexity while preserving the fruit. On the palate, it seduces with its round tannins, accompanied by notes of red berries.
It's a generous wine that pairs perfectly with beef, duck, game, or a cheese board.
🍷 Cuvée Sous la Robe 2023
Cuvée Sous la Robe is a single-parcel 100% Cabernet Franc vintage, from an ancient Loire riverbed. Awarded two stars by the Hachette Wine Guide 2027!
Harvesting is done manually to select grapes at their optimal ripeness. This vintage reveals a beautiful aromatic richness, dominated by dark fruits (such as black cherry or blackberry), with a generous and elegant palate.
It will ideally accompany a beef tournedos, veal grenadin, duck aiguillettes, or strong cheeses.
